Welcome, humans. This is your sassy newsletter bringing you the best of AI so you’re always up to date. Brace yourselves for a future where robots serve your coffee, and AI knows your deep desires better than you do.

OpenAI, in a surprising move, now allows its AI tech for military and warfare purposes. Talk about a pivot! Apple asked its Siri AI QA team to relocate to Texas or face job loss while the IMF predicts AI is about to displace 40% of jobs and worsen inequality. Yikes! Deepfakes are already being used in ads, so good luck figuring out what's real in the next election cycle. OH, and James Bulger's mum just won a battle banning the use of AI pics of her son.

There's also a new wave of robotic helpers on the horizon. Toyota's testing in-home robots that do chores, because who needs to vacuum when you have a metallic maid? And there's a new humanoid bot that can serve you coffee and conversation. Basically, get ready for AI to understand you better than your best friend. Wells Fargo's AI assistant, powered by Google's LaMDA, is on track to hit 100 million interactions a year while OpenAI's got big plans for its GPT language model, integrating it with speech, images, and videos. Google Assistant is giving some features the axe to focus on AI development. Heck, even Nicki Minaj's using AI to craft her comeback album cover art, stirring controversy of course.

Lastly, say goodbye to the days of online clothes that end up looking like potato sacks on arrival. Amazon's using AI to recommend clothes that actually fit. Victoria's Secret has an AI advisor in the works thanks to Google Cloud. Sam’s Club to bring AI-based receipt verification to all stores. And Walmart's getting fancy with its grocery shopping app, using AI to find everything from toothpaste to that gluten-free pasta your hamster insists on having.
