CES2024: Robots Everywhere: Samsung’s Ballie robot is back — and now, it can project things onto the floor, wall, or ceiling as it follows you around the home while Samsung’s "Map View" shows AI characters within your smart home. AI startup Rabbit unveiled the Rabbit r1, a handheld mobile device aimed to create a post-smartphone experience. Mobinn’s, delivery bot conquers stairs with ease. And Apple, in a surprise announcement preempting CES, steals the show’s thunder with its $3,500 Vision Pro headset releasing in February.
Cars get chatty - Volkswagen adds ChatGPT conversations to its cars, while Sony Honda's Afeela vehicle lets you display messages on the bumper. BMW unveils teleparking and mixed reality driving glasses, while Mercedes partners with the Black Eyed Peas will.i.am for a questionable (but memorable) sound experience.
